Wesley Christian School Administration

Wesley Christian School is an integral part of the ministry of the Allen Christ United Methodist Church of Allen, Kentucky and operates under the church bylaws. A School Board, comprised of five members, meets regularly, although not directly involved in daily school operations, per se. As necessary the Board does participate in decisions of policy, procedure and discipline. The Board is responsible for the calling of a school Principal whose job is to manage the school on a day-to-day basis. The Principal works closely with the Wesley School Board and Senior Pastor to provide leadership to the total Christian Education program of the school.

Wesley Christian School Superintendent

Mrs. Angie Wilkes

Twenty-two years ago God called me to use my degree in Middle School Education to serve Him. He has never failed to give the direction and purpose of that mission! I have been honored to be a part of the ministry of Christian Education for the past two decades. I am a wife and mother of three wonderful children, who are my greatest gifts. Wesley Christian School offers a spiritual, individualized education to children of the eastern Kentucky area. Wesley Christian School uses the ABEKA Curriculum, a Christian based curriculum that is nationally recognized as academically sound. The faculty of Wesley Christian School believe that instead of a "job", they have a "ministry". We are dedicated to finding and meeting the needs of the children that are placed in our school. I praise God for the difference that this school and the people involved with it have had on the lives of so many families of this area!

Wesley Christian Elementary School Principal

Mrs. Janie Tincher

I feel very honored to begin my 20th year serving as 1st Grade Teacher and Elementary Principal. God directed my life to Wesley Christian School where I have had the opportunity to share His Word with many Children, make life-long friendships with families, and help students establish a solid educational foundation. I graduated with an Associates of Arts Degree from Prestonsburg Community College and a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Pikeville College. My husband, Randy, and I have been blessed with three wonderful children and most recently, our first grandson. We are active members of the Little Paint First Church of God.

Wesley Christian High School Principal

Mrs. Carolyn Curry

I consider it a blessing to serve as the high school Language Arts teacher, Spanish facilitator, and high school principal. My relationship with Jesus Christ and desire to teach students about the love of Jesus is what attracted me to Wesley Christian School. I retired from the Floyd County public school system with 29 years of experience. As an educator, I have gained experience in grades K-12. I have taught all grades, and have principal experience in elementary, middle, and high school. I received my lifetime Bachelor of Science degree in education from Pikeville College, Masters and Rank 1 certificate from Morehead State University, and my leadership certificates from Eastern Kentucky University. These certificates include: Principal certification level 1 & 2, Instructional Supervision Certificate, Superintendent Certification, and Director of Pupil Personnel. In 2004, I was selected as a Highly Skilled Educator for three years and traveled the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a catalyst. My role was to assist teachers and administrators with the mission and vision of school improvement. I have been employed with Wesley Christian School since 2013 and enjoy working here.
